As a part of the store visual merchandiser/activity team you use your extensive knowledge of people's life at home and your high level of home furnishing competence to present and communicate the IKEA product range in ways that make it attractive and relevant to your local market. You also support customer self-choice in the IKEA store and the IKEA mechanical sales system.

Job Responsibilities

• Strengthen IKEA’s position as the first choice for home furnishing in the local market through inspiring visual merchandising
• Create functional, affordable, and commercial home furnishing solutions using single or multiple products
• Showcase the uniqueness of the IKEA range through strong range presentation, store layout, and visual identity
• Deliver fresh and inspiring displays that encourage repeat visits and support customer self-service
• Ensure clear product overview, strong visual impact, and an easy, safe buying process on the shop floor
• Contribute to department action plans by delivering initiatives that support business growth and long-term profitability
• Use insights into local customer needs and life at home to create relevant, trend-aware range presentation solutions
• Work closely with Communication & Interior Design and other teams to deliver high-quality, efficient, and cost-conscious solutions
• Apply global tools, guidelines, and best practices to maintain consistency and quality
• Stay up to date with home furnishing, retail, and design trends to inspire visitors
• Follow all safety, security, and emergency procedures and report any incidents promptly

You have a background in visual merchandising, design, or a related field, with a passion for home furnishing and everyday life at home. Creative and commercially aware, you bring practical, hands-on skills in a fast-paced retail environment. You’re fluent in English (Arabic an advantage), familiar with AutoCAD and Revit, and stay up to date with the latest trends.

This position is full-time and is located in Kuwait. It also requires a strong understanding of Kuwait laws, so the role would best suit a candidate that has worked in Kuwait in a similar position for a number of years.
