Job Description
Job Purpose
The Project Manager will play a crucial role in successfully implementing the Entertainment and Media Hub project. Working closely with Africa No Filter and the Creative Economy Practice at CcHUB, the Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the media hubs in Nairobi.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the media hub.
- Ensure the hubs are well-equipped and resources are efficiently utilized.
- Schedule and coordinate events, workshops, and training sessions within the hub
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop a comprehensive curriculum.
- Ensure the effective delivery of industry skills training, mentorship programs, and story development hubs.
- Work with the grant committee to establish and manage transparent grant processes.
- Oversee the grant dissemination process, ensuring a gender-balanced selection of grantees.
- Develop and nurture relationships with media houses, broadcasters, and creators.
- Create opportunities for content generated within the hubs through effective partnerships.
- Implement ongoing monitoring and evaluation activities, including needs assessment and baseline establishment.
- Prepare and submit periodic monitoring and other reports on project progress and impact.
- Regularly coordinate with the foundation team, Program Officer in Nigeria, and BMGF partners.
- Establish and maintain a digital workspace for real-time access to documents and updates.
- Contribute to a comprehensive evaluation of the lab's impact during the Year 3 Planning phase.
- Provide input for planning subsequent years based on the evaluation findings.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, preferably in the media and entertainment industry.
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of the film/TV and digital media landscape in Kenya/Nigeria.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience in developing communities and ecosystems will be an added asset
- Experience mainstreaming gender-positive themes in projects
