Job Description
We have an immediate opening for a Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our Michigan office located in Commerce Twp. The Shipping and Receiving Associate will be an integral part of internal company operations. We seek individuals with technical aptitude and a great attitude.
Primary role
Oversee all shipping, receiving and inventory related activities in an accurate timely manner.
Detailed Activities
- Manage all shipping and receiving (incoming/outgoing deliveries)
- Ensure accuracy of shipments and documentation throughout the shipping process
- Maintain inventory control processes, monitor inventory levels, and assist in cycle counts as needed
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Examine and inspect items for defects and damage, reporting all damaged packages to the supervisor immediately
- Receive and put away incoming shipments in a timely and organized fashion
- Adheres to receiving procedures to meet the order fulfillment demands and maintain accuracy
- Maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a commitment to accuracy and efficiency
- Other projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years previous experience preferred
- Physically able to lift up to 50lbs
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience with inventory and cycle counts
- Basic math proficiency
- Competency in data management and analysis (using NetSuite preferred)
- Strong attention to detail
- Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must be authorized to work permanently in the United States
Physical or Other Requirements
- A variety of standing and walking throughout the day
- Repeated twisting at the torso while lifting
- Pushing and pulling inventory from shelves
- Regular lifting of up to 50 pounds
- Climbing ladders
- Use of pallet jack/forklift throughout the day as needed
- Ability to bend, stretch, and traverse the warehouse throughout the day
Certificates and/or Licenses
- Hazmat certification based on compliance guidelines (preferred)
- Forklift (preferred)
- OSHA (preferred)
Travel
- Possible local errands during work hours, but no out of state/overnight travel.
Normal Work Hours
- Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
Pay
- Salary range is $20/hour - $25/hour depending on experience.

Advanced Visualization projects involve the design, engineering, fabrication and building of large scale, high-resolution visualization systems for the Fortune 50 and U.S. Military. These technology solutions include PowerWalls, virtual reality (VR) Rooms, and immersive stereo/3D technologies including motion capture labs.
Advanced Audio-Visual Integrations projects consist of large dvLED and other LED video wall solutions, control rooms, and other complex, sophisticated solutions.
