Job Description

Lead Audio Visual Technician with our southeast Michigan office located in Commerce Township. This lead role is an integral part of a team dedicated to installation and service. We seek individuals with technical aptitude and a great attitude. Ideal candidates will include those with relevant experience in the audio visual industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead individual and team efforts in all aspects of installation and service of IGI commercial AV solutions
  • Perform preventative maintenance on existing customer installations under IGI Extended Support contracts, including color calibration of 2K and 4K projectors,
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues during installations or on service calls
  • Provide excellent customer service and timely resolution to issues
  • Support sales opportunities by providing technical demonstrations of IGI systems
  • Mentor and train less-experienced technicians

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as Lead Audio Visual Technician for commercial AV installation/service environment
  • Experience installing and servicing technology from Sony, Barco, NVIDIA, Christie Digital, Samsung, Crestron, AMX, and Polycom
  • Training in projection, cable/terminations, video switching/routing, control systems, audio, computers and networking
  • Read and follow system design schematics and layouts
  • CTS certification is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as professional behavior
  • Valid driving license and clean driving record
  • College degree preferred
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
  • Ideally based in southeast Michigan area, commutable to our Commerce office location
