Job Description

The Senior Manager, Group ARR will be responsible for the governance, reporting, analysis, and continuous improvement of the Group's Software Bookings, Annual Contract Value (ACV), and Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) metrics.

This highly visible role partners closely with Finance Leadership, Sales Operations, Regional Finance teams, FP&A, Revenue Operations, and Executive Management to ensure the integrity, consistency, and accuracy of key commercial performance metrics across the business.

The successful candidate will combine strong commercial finance expertise with deep software industry knowledge and exceptional analytical and problem-solving capability. They will be expected to challenge assumptions, investigate complex reporting issues, influence stakeholders, and drive improvements in reporting processes, data quality, automation, and business insight.

Key Responsibilities

Ownership of Group Bookings and ARR Reporting

  • Own the monthly Group Software Bookings, ACV, and ARR reporting process.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of commercial metrics to Executive Leadership, Finance Leadership, and Board stakeholders.
  • Deliver insightful analysis of business performance, trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Maintain reporting consistency across regions, business units, and product lines.
  • Prepare executive-level reporting packages and management commentary.

Policy Governance and Business Partnering

  • Act as the subject matter expert for Bookings, ACV, ARR, Downsell, Churn, and related commercial metrics.
  • Own and maintain Group-wide reporting policies and definitions.
  • Provide guidance and interpretation on complex commercial transactions.
  • Review and assess deal structures to determine appropriate Bookings and ARR treatment.
  • Partner with Sales, Revenue Operations, FP&A, Accounting, and M&A teams on commercial reporting matters.

Analysis and Insights

  • Conduct deep-dive analysis into ARR drivers, retention trends, renewals, churn, install-base performance, expansion rates, and new logo acquisition.
  • Identify business performance trends and translate data into meaningful recommendations.
  • Investigate anomalies and resolve reporting discrepancies.
  • Develop actionable insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.

Data Quality and Controls

  • Ensure robust governance and controls around Bookings and ARR data.
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting accuracy and process efficiency.
  • Lead reconciliation activities across multiple data sources and reporting systems.
  • Establish monitoring frameworks to proactively identify data quality issues.

Transformation and Automation

  • Drive automation and reporting enhancements.
  • Partner with Data & Analytics teams to improve reporting infrastructure and dashboards.
  • Develop scalable reporting solutions using Power BI and other analytical tools.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI and advanced analytics to improve efficiency and business insight.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships across Finance, Sales, Operations, and Executive teams.
  • Influence senior stakeholders through clear communication and fact-based analysis.
  • Present findings and recommendations confidently to senior leadership.
  • Lead discussions on complex commercial reporting issues.

Qualifications

  • Degree-level qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA), MBA viewed favourably.
  • Significant experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, Finance Business Partnering, Revenue Operations, or related analytical finance roles.
  • Significant experience within a software, SaaS, subscription, or technology company.
  • Experience working with recurring revenue models, ARR, ACV, SaaS metrics, subscriptions, renewals, and customer retention analysis.
  • Experience supporting executive-level business reviews and reporting processes.
  • Fluent business English required.
