Job Description
Purpose
The Engagement & Communications Coordinator plays a key role in fostering a connected, informed and engaged employee experience across IFS Sri Lanka. Working closely with local leadership, HR and internal stakeholders, this role supports the planning and delivery of employee engagement initiatives, internal communications and events that strengthen collaboration, reinforce our culture and create meaningful employee experiences.
Key Responsibilities
1. Employee Engagement
- Work with local leadership and HR to plan and deliver employee engagement initiatives that promote collaboration, inclusion and a positive workplace culture.
- Support the development of activities that strengthen employee connection, wellbeing and sense of belonging.
- Help coordinate initiatives that encourage participation and enhance the overall employee experience.
- Gather employee feedback and identify opportunities to improve engagement initiatives.
2. Leadership & Employee Communications
- Support local leadership in communicating key business updates and initiatives effectively to employees.
- Coordinate communication activities to ensure messaging is clear, timely and aligned across the organisation.
- Prepare content for town halls, leadership updates, newsletters and other employee communication channels.
- Collaborate with HR and Internal Communications to ensure consistency in messaging.
3. Employee Network & Collaboration
- Coordinate engagement with employee representatives, ambassadors and cross-functional groups to encourage collaboration and information sharing.
- Facilitate regular communication between leadership, HR and employee groups to support engagement initiatives.
- Gather employee feedback and insights to help improve communication and engagement activities.
4. Events & Engagement Activities
- Plan and coordinate employee engagement events, workshops, town halls and recognition activities across virtual, hybrid and onsite formats.
- Manage event logistics, communications and coordination from planning through execution.
- Maintain an annual engagement calendar aligned with key organisational priorities.
- Monitor participation and follow up on action items where required.
5. Insights & Reporting
- Collect and analyse employee feedback from engagement activities and surveys, including Heartbeat survey themes.
- Prepare reports, summaries and recommendations for leadership and HR.
- Track participation and effectiveness of engagement initiatives and suggest opportunities for continuous improvement.
6. Learning & Capability Initiatives
- Support awareness campaigns and engagement activities that promote continuous learning and professional development.
- Coordinate initiatives that encourage employees to adopt new technologies and digital tools, including AI where appropriate.
- Assist with the promotion of learning opportunities across the organisation.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Communications, Business or a related field.
- 1–3 years’ experience in employee engagement, internal communications, HR coordination, and event / project coordination. Early-career candidates with strong potential and passion are encouraged.
- Experience supporting communications or engagement in a dynamic, change-driven environment is an advantage.
