Job Description
The Senior Business Analyst acts as a critical link between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that requirements are accurately captured, documented, and translated into solutions that deliver measurable business value. This role supports complex programmes and projects, driving clarity in scope, process design, and functional specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering & Analysis
- Lead engagement with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
- Ensure completeness and alignment of requirements with overall business design and programme objectives.
Process Design & Documentation
- Own end-to-end design and documentation of business processes, including process maps, KPIs, and benefits case alignment.
- Define non-functional requirements and maintain the functional requirements catalogue.
Stakeholder Communication & Facilitation
- Act as liaison between business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams.
- Provide regular updates, manage expectations, and facilitate workshops for decision-making.
Agile & Project Support
- Translate business needs into user stories and acceptance criteria for agile delivery teams.
Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure alignment with delivery goals.
Testing & Cutover Support
- Own user acceptance testing from a business perspective, define test cases and success criteria.
- Support test execution, defect resolution, and input to cutover plans.
Data & Integration
- Support data cleansing, mapping, and integration requirements across systems.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects and SI Functional Leads to ensure solution fit.
Qualifications
Competencies & Skills
- Strong analytical and documentation skills (functional specs, process flows, user stories).
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Knowledge of ERP/CRM systems and integration concepts.
- Familiarity with Agile and ITIL practices; certifications (CBAP, Agile BA) desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Business, IT, or related field.
- 3+ years in business analysis roles within complex programmes.
- Experience in process design, requirements management, and UAT leadership.
- Exposure to large-scale ERP/CRM implementations and data migration projects.
