As we continue to grow globally, we are looking for a Vice President, Global Solution Consulting to lead our pre-sales organization on a 14-month maternity leave cover. This role ensures that our global team continues to deliver extraordinary experiences and exceptional value for our clients, prospects, and partners. 

The Role 

The VP, Global Solution Consulting is responsible for leading the worldwide pre-sales function, driving excellence in solution consulting execution, industry positioning, and customer value articulation. You will ensure global consistency while empowering regional teams to succeed locally, guiding a team of Solution Consulting Directors and leaders across the Americas, Europe, and APJMEA regions. 

This role is both strategic and hands-on. You will play an integral part in high-value pursuits, cross-functional collaboration, and the ongoing development of our people and processes. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Leadership & Strategy:

  • Lead and inspire a global team of Solution Consulting leaders and professionals to deliver exceptional outcomes across our regions and industries. 

  • Set and execute the global Solution Consulting strategy aligned with IFS Copperleaf’s corporate objectives, revenue goals, and go-to-market plans. 

  • Serve as a member of the global sales leadership team, representing Solution Consulting in strategic decision-making and planning. 

  • Partner closely with executives in Sales, Marketing, Product, and CX to ensure our solutions are positioned effectively and our value story resonates with clients. 

  • Provide input into broader GTM strategies, including market segmentation, Total Addressable Market (TAM) and Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) definition, sales organization design, and product roadmap prioritization. 

Operational Excellence & Sales Support: 

  • Oversee the global pursuit of strategic deals, providing executive guidance and hands-on support for high-impact opportunities. 

  • Ensure consistent application of Copperleaf’s sales methodologies, tools, and best practices to drive win rates, deal velocity, and customer satisfaction. 

  • Support regional Solution Consulting leaders in team planning, pipeline prioritization, and resource management to maintain effective global coverage. 

  • Oversee the Value Engineering practice, including establishing global standards for business value assessment, ROI modeling, and the execution of Opportunity Assessments. 

  • Provide governance and oversight for the Sales Enablement function, ensuring that pre-sales, sales, and partner teams are equipped with the right tools, messaging, and skills to engage effectively. 

Team Leadership & Development :

  • Mentor and develop regional leaders and their teams to foster technical depth, commercial acumen, and career growth. 

  • Lead the Global Solution Consulting Council to drive alignment, knowledge sharing, and consistency of best practices worldwide. 

Qualifications

Experience & Qualifications 

  • 10+ years in enterprise software pre-sales or solution consulting, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity. 

  • Proven experience leading large, diverse, and globally distributed teams. 

  • Strong understanding of enterprise sales cycles, complex solution positioning, and business value selling. 

  • Experience working in asset-intensive industries (utilities, energy, transportation, or similar) is highly desirable. 

  • Familiarity with IFS, Copperleaf, or comparable enterprise asset management and planning solutions is an asset. 

  • Excellent communication skills, executive presence, and ability to engage with C-suite stakeholders.

  • Salary Range: $180,000 to $200,000 CAD, plus bonus
