Job Description
We are seeking a Product Manager to join our team as we develop cutting-edge AI-based Aerospace & Defense software solutions for Airlines and Operators. In this role, you will be responsible for the working on investment cases, coordinating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to lead planning and publishing the product direction.
As a Product Manager, you will participate in product strategy and roadmap planning, considering market trends, competitor analysis, and customer feedback. You will collaborate with engineering teams to manage product timelines, status, release planning etc.
The preferred candidate will have a background in the aviation industry, having worked with an Airline, or OEM. The candidate will also have experience with the use of software in the aviation industry, understanding the regulations and compliance around it. Good communication and leadership skills are crucial for this role, as you will be responsible for working with cross-functional teams and presenting product updates to stakeholders.
As a Product Manager in Aerospace and Defense, you will report into the VP of Product Management, A&D and you are responsible for:
- Assist in developing and executing product strategies and roadmaps for Airline related products, aligning with company objectives and market opportunities.
- Help in conducting comprehensive market and competitive analyses specific to the Airlines and Operators industry, identifying trends, customer needs, and building business cases for potential opportunities.
- Manage administrative tasks related to backlog, feature prioritization, investment cases, product roadmaps etc., to help guide engineering with product development
- Help in defining and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive transparency and enablement of product updates and roadmap plans.
- Helping develop and implement go-to-market strategies for Airlines related products, including pricing and positioning.
Qualifications
- A degree in Software Engineering, or a related STEM field; MBA is a plus
- 4+ years relevant experience – A&D industry experience necessary, working with an Airline or OEM
- Experience in working on complex Airline related products from concept to deployment
- Good understanding of aviation tools, processes and regulatory requirements, interfacing with FAA, EASA, IATA etc.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience interfacing with cross functional teams and stakeholders.
