Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Undergraduate Trainee Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Colombo, Sri Lanka. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for aspiring software engineers to gain hands-on experience and kickstart their careers in the tech industry.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of software applications under the guidance of senior engineers
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to testing and deployment
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in various programming languages
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and contribute to solution design
- Assist in troubleshooting and debugging software issues
- Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to improve code quality
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in software development
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Basic programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C++
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices
- Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git
- Basic knowledge of databases and SQL
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality code
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration within a team
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
- Ability to work from the office in Colombo, Sri Lanka
- Academic projects or internships in software development (preferred but not required)
