Job Description
IFS Service Management is the market leading service management solution, a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for the 6th consecutive time. Our solution empowers our customers to deliver service excellence and optimize workforce efficiency allowing them to embrace Service as a strong and profitable revenue stream.
We deliver solutions for every part of the service lifecycle, from product management, contracts, warranty and billing through mobile field service, customer engagement and self-service, and remote assistance. Our service management capabilities manage complex use cases and accelerate digital transformation goals.
In order to join the Service Management team as a Software Engineering Leader, You need to be good at listening and communicating, and share knowledge and experience. A Software Engineering Leader is expected to consistently develop high-quality software solutions by:
- Lead and inspire a team of talented software engineers to design, develop, and deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Recruit and onboard new coworkers, perform appraisals and set salaries.
- Collaborate with product managers, program managers and other stakeholders to define project requirements and priorities.
- Provide knowledge and insight in DevOps and Agile practices.
- Lead efforts to optimize and scale our software development infrastructure for improved performance and reliability.
Qualifications
- A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology.
- Strong software engineering background
- Previous working experience with Enterprise grade software is a definite advantage.
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes and testing
- Expertise in managing and developing globally distributed teams
- Skills in prioritizing and taking decisions.
- Comfort presenting to all levels of stakeholders
- A good understanding of one or more of our target industries and domain product / technology offerings as well as the business application processes for our target customers.
- Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written
