Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager to drive the development and growth of our Data Services capabilities. The data platform needs to align with IFS Cloud platform strategy being a fully cloud-agnostic approach.

This role requires a unique blend of functional product management skills and technical understanding of technologies like data lakes (iceberg / delta lake), data processing (spark compute), data analytics, data visualization and streaming data through Kafka. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a strong communicator, and a hands-on leader who can work cross-functionally to deliver innovative solutions.

What is the role?

  • Support and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Data Platform.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to develop and launch new features and products.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Advocate for the end-user experience, ensuring products are intuitive, reliable, and meet user needs.
  • Identify roadblocks and demonstrate the ability to provide practical recommendations for overcoming them.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years of product management or program management experience in similar tech.
  • Strong understanding of data storage and processing platforms, data analytics and data visualization technologies
  • Proven track record of successfully managing the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and beyond.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience in the technology, software, or related industries. 
  • Experience in engaging directly with customers or end-users for product feedback.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
  • Proven ability to understand customer needs and translate them into successful products
  • You can work remotely from home, or from one of our nearby offices. The job can be fulfilled both from Sri Lanka as well as Europe.
