Job Description

 

The Enablement & Training Specialist - Technical serves as a technical trainer responsible for designing, developing, delivering, and maintaining IFS Academy technical training courses. They also, possess technical expertise, industry exposure of the relevant technical area(s) and serve as IFS technical subject matter experts. Their primary goal is to empower IFS internal employees, partners, and customers to effectively develop and maintain software and functionality within IFS products.
This role requires a deep understanding of the technical architecture and frameworks of IFS products. Moreover, the Engineer- Academy must possess the ability to communicate, present, and simplify complex technical topics to a diverse audience of learners. As role models for new IFS joiners, Engineer - Academy technical trainers play a pivotal role in expanding technical knowledge and skills within the IFS ecosystem.
Continuous learning and knowledge sharing are integral to this role. Engineer- Academy technical trainers continuously enhance their functional and technical expertise, guiding and mentoring others through high-quality training deliveries and content creation.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, masterful communication, effective negotiation, subject matter expertise, adaptability, flexibility, and strong assessment and evaluation skills are essential qualities for successful Engineer - Academy technical trainers.
Furthermore, leveraging an understanding of adult learning psychology is crucial for creating exceptional delivery experiences and crafting quality training content and materials.

The key responsibilities include

Training delivery

· Design, develop and maintain fit for purpose Academy training courses based on IFS requirements.

· Deliver high quality trainings based on IFS Technology stack and audience knowledge level.

· Design and develop Digital Learning Assets to enhance the quality of training delivery.

· Engage with requirement owners and other stakeholders to create, deliver, and enhance technical training programs.

· Contribute to activities related to Academy Learning products and program management

· Uphold critical operational responsibility for Enablement & Training and Academy initiatives.

· Share knowledge, guide, and train colleagues.

Training & Certification promotion

· Keep an updated view on IFS certification structure and Academy learning management system

· Promote IFS training and certification value both externally and internally

· Facilitation of communication between partners and global enablement team(IFS Academy)

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience
Essential:
• University degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Information Technology or equivalent professional qualifications and relevant work experience.
• Excellent command of English and good communication skills.
• A good understanding of software engineering principles, including object-oriented concepts, relational databases, web technologies, DevOps technologies, software architectures and programming languages.
• Knowledge of one or more of Oracle, Java/JEE, C#/.NET, JavaScript Frameworks such as AngularJS, and Containers (Docker and Kubernetes)
• A passion for training and knowledge sharing. Experience as a trainer or lecturer essential.
• Ability to understand, summarize and present information in a clear and concise manner.
• Service-minded and organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Good analytical skills with the ability to learn new concepts quickly and work on your own initiative.
Desirable:
• Good knowledge of IFS technology architecture and development methodology
• Database programming knowledge such as Oracle SQL or PL/SQL programming
• Web application or Mobile application development knowledge
• Adequate knowledge on Cloud technologies
• Relevant software industry experience
• Experience of working in a team environment
