Job Description

This role is within the IFS Enterprise Service Management Business Unit. The goal of IFS ESM is to recreate ITSM for the world of distributed working and citizen developers. We're taking traditional IT service management (ITSM) to the next level, offering employees across the entire enterprise the opportunity to work better and smarter.

We are in a process of expanding the capabilities of the IFS assyst product, initially on the current more traditional technology stack and then on a cloud native stack for which we need to massively extend our automated test suite. We intend to replace the current manual test scripts with automated tests and to also expand the coverage of our automated back-end business logic tests to support the move to cloud native and the parallel project to implement a new User Interface.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification or professional qualifications and 5+ years of work experience.
  • Lead efforts in defining test strategies, test planning, execution, and reviews as well as improving existing ones.
  • Good Knowledge and experience in test automation.
  • Experience in testing automation for CI/CD and as part of release management automation
  • Experience of using REST-assured to test REST APIs.
  • Knowledge in load testing tools such as JMeter will be an added advantage.
  • Review and elaboration of Acceptance Criteria.
  • Managing Test Data
  • Database skills e.g., manipulate data, restore databases, etc.
  • Willing to contribute to execution of manual tests until automation coverage is achieved.
  • Experience of working in an agile team.
  • Analyze the severity and priority level of defects.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good team working skills.
  • Strong focus on Quality.
  • Prior experience in software support tools such as ServiceNow will be an added advantage.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in testing Spring/Java server applications.
  • Highly independent and proactive regarding testing and able to discuss topics with developers as equals.
  • Knowledge and experience in test automation using Selenium.
  • Experience in developing automated test on Angular.
  • Professional certifications such as ISTQB would be an added advantage.
