Job Description

The Payroll Analyst plays an important role within the Talent team by performing a number of tasks related to Billtrust’s payroll functions.  This position will be responsible for payroll tax as well as quarterly and year end payroll activities.  

  • Review and audit bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls after the Associate Payroll Analyst has completed input
  • Owner of the HCM Case Management from a payroll perspective
  • Complete post-payroll reconciliations and process necessary payroll adjustments
  • Collaborate with Finance/Accounting on payroll and tax transactions and audit tax collections for accuracy
  • Manage employee tax withholdings including requesting registrations for new payroll tax accounts, upload tax notices to payroll provider case portal for processing
  • Manage payroll system setup (i.e. earnings, deductions, locations, tax codes, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain SOP’s for payroll function
  • Working knowledge of federal/state/local wage and hour laws

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, along with 5+ years of multi-state payroll experience
  • Extensive data entry skills, spreadsheet, and word processing proficiency required
  • Strong computer skills
  • Knowledge of payroll laws
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High degree of professionalism including the ability to handle sensitive/confidential material
  • Must be highly organized with the ability to work autonomously while prioritizing and multitasking several assignments
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
