Job Description

Partner with Global Revenue team to ensure Professional Service transactions are accurately recorded in accordance with IFRS (IFRS 15)

Primary Finance custodian of all Professional Service project transactions (time entry, project status, customer invoicing, contractor engagements, WIP/Deferred Revenue position) for Financial Reporting of revenues, deferred revenues, COGS, and reconciliations

Partner with the Professional Service team to ensure Project data is set up and tracked recorded correctly and reflects proper WIP/Deferred position.

Ensure accurate and timely information is provided to the finance & FP&A team for purposes of revenue and forecasting.

Active management of WIP & deferred revenues in accordance with IFRS and company policies

Providing bandwidth for ad-hoc projects that help achieve various company initiatives, including process & system improvements.

Partner with Finance & ancillary teams in various projects to drive opportunities for technology and process improvements.

Manage & support Professional Service Accountants to ensure quality output of Revenue and cost of Revenues

Provide coaching and growth & development to members of the Revenue team

Responsible for period close activities related to Revenue & COGS accounts such as manual journal entries, account reconciliations, fluctuation analysis for management, and external audit schedules. 

Qualifications

  • Ability to lead and develop a team successfully in line with company strategy to enable and elevate each team member
  • Ability to show attention to detail while working with large volumes of data, but also be able to step back and see “the big picture”
  • Ability to deliver in a fast fast-pacednsformational environment driving change and continuous improvement with a positive attitude and critical mindset
  • Ability to work under pressure and capable of managing numerous work streams at once
  • Essential experience/qualifications:
  • At least 5 years in a similar role, within either a large international software technology environment (software technology strongly preferred)
  • Strong Excel skills (incl. power pivots)
  • Strong managerial skills and ability to handle multiple topics and resources at once
  • University degree-educated, preferably in the field of Accounting & Finance  (or equivalent training or work experience)
  • Preferable Accounting Qualification in either ACA, ACCA or CIMA with at least 5 years PQE
  • Fluent in English language
  • Desirable experience/qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a related finance/FP&A area preferred
  • Effective management of teams, straight and dotted line
  • Highly flexible and collaborative personality 
  • Must be a confident communicator with good interpersonal skills
