Job Description
Global Customer Services is a globally operating function dedicated to supporting the Customer Services organization with a range of Customer-centric activities that help our Customers to achieve value in the near – and long-term.
We are currently looking for a number of IT Support Engineers, who are keen to help and support our Customers and our internal Functions.
In this role you will be challenged on your ability to delivery our portfolio of solutions in a timely and controlled manner. Likewise you will be engaging in technical support to existing solutions where Customers and Partners seek our help.
You will be part of a team with its base in Colombo but operating and supporting all areas of the world.
Interacting with internal stakeholders and helping your colleagues deliver success at the Customer is key in this position. You will be exposed to a large part of the IFS organization as well as communicating with Customers and Partners in your daily work.
IT Support Engineer Responsibilities:
- Validating and configuring IFS Solutions to our Customers
- Responding to customer and partner IT support requests and redirect them to other internal teams when necessary
- Meeting with internal stakeholders to diagnose software issues and follow up
- Providing technical support via case tracking systems while monitoring the incoming cases and providing updates on progress
- Offering solutions that meet the needs of the client
- Repairing malfunctions, software issues
- Maintaining good client relations.
- Tracking and managing work records.
- Compiling job reports.
- Creating Knowledge Base Articles on key topics to Customers and internal Stakeholders
- Adhering to set SLAs/OLAs
- Be thorough with the work instructions/processes and highlight/escalate the exceptions
Qualifications
IT Support Engineer Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science or similar curriculum.
- Proven work experience as a technical support engineer.
- Experience with scripting languages.
- Experience with ITSM systems such as ServiceNow
- Knowledge of Agile development methods
- Good time management skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to troubleshoot software issues
- Fluency in English both written and verbal
- Ability to think critically
- Service Minded attitude
- Will to deliver quality in a timely manner
