Job Description

A Project Manager at IFS is responsible for leading, managing and steering implementation projects of IFS software. An IFS Project Manager  is acting on behalf of IFS as a focal point of expertise to ensure the Value Realization to the customer and Revenue Generation to IFS. Key to this is a firm understanding of Project Management in general and the IFS Methodologies in particular, highlighting the ability to gain trust from both the customer and the IFS teams. Project Manager enjoys the challenge of being the key driver, decision maker, engager and motivator in projects, while consistently having control of both short and long terms goals along with set KPI’s.

  • Responsible for the successful delivery of the project for our customers, within agreed scope, time and cost.
  • Govern and Steer the overall project plan
  • Display Leadership abilities including the ability to ensure the consulting team is acting as a uniform entity in both communication and methodology
  • Know how to apply the key concepts from the IFS Methodologies, be able to communicate this to the Customer
  • Consistently communicate Project milestones to the Consulting team
  • Understand the impact and consequences of any Change Requests to the solution design and plan, coordinate and control how these are handled
  • Challenge requests for customization, ensure they are appropriate and necessary and that increase of scope is captured as Change Request/orders outside original scope of the contract
  • Adequate Understanding of escalation processes and expressing due diligence of own Project
  • Effective stakeholder management both internally within IFS and within the customer organization.
  • Timely coordination and follow up on Performance and Progress from all project team members
  • Provide status reports according to defined process
  • Routinely question and challenge the key decisions that are taken in relation to the solution design to ensure they do not affect the overall scope and timeline/budget of the project
  • Ensure consistent and timely Cost Management including invoicing and follow-up. Participate in the Project Kick-off meeting with the customer PM/core project team to communicate the message of what is involved in an IFS Project such as our approach to workshops
  • Keep up to date with application developments, be aware of new releases, their content, and in cooperation with the Solution Architect assess how it might affect the project

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management. Prior experience in managing ERP implementation projects
  • Experience in conducting projects in Agile methodology will be an asset
  • Certification in one of other Project Management methodologies like Prince2 or PMP will be an asset
  • Experience in IFS Applications will be an asset
  • Experienced in negotiations
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Good presentation skills 
  • Spanish & English language on professional business level
  • Willing to travel ( business trips)
