Introduction:

The Senior Consultant will bridge the gap between the Customer’s business requirements and the application. The Consultant has competence to advise and guide the Customer, listen and dare to challenge in order to understand the Customer’s real needs and advise the Customer in their usage of their IFS Products. Engaged by the Customer or Partner as a subject matter expert (SME) in a specific area and offers their expertise to colleagues, Partners and the Customer.

The Senior Consultant enjoys the challenge of creating and communicating well thought-through practical solutions that form the basis for successful implementations, and ultimately lead to highly referenceable Customers and make the Customer more efficient and successful.

About the Role:

  • Ability to leading solution teams in global transformation projects.
  • Trusted to own Customer Business Value Streams
  • Confident presenting at all levels.
  • Key role in coaching / mentoring other consultants and building networks.
  • Must operate at an Executive level
  • Provide Safeguarding services into Partner led projects / programmes and challenge where required.
  • May act as an escalation point if required.

Required Competence / Experience:

A Senior Consultant would be expected to have an excellent understanding of the following areas:

  • Essential - 10 years (or more) of experience in the Service Management domain.
  • Essential - Experience in leading the implementation of Field Service Solutions.
  • Knowledge of key industry drivers.
  • How to lead workshops e.g. presentation, organisational, and documentation skills
  • Project management and commercial awareness.
  • Good understanding of different Solution Implementation Methodologies.
  • Passion for technology.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • An academic background with a Bachelor or Masters’ degree in engineering, Business or IT (or equivalent education or experience).
  • Experience delivering Service Management projects in a relevant industry setting, preferably in a similar role.
  • In conjunction with a Solution Architect, take lead in scoping of solution teams of a project.
  • Trusted advisor of articulating and critically evaluating customer-specific business process maps.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Expert of data analysis and problem solving.
  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally where required.  Up to 75% travel is typical for this role.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • This is NOT an IT Service Management role and relates to the Service Management industry (e.g. field service).
