Job Description

An Application Consultant (PSO) enables a customer to understand the proper combination, and weighting, of scheduling parameters required to enable the scheduling engine to achieve the optimization required to meet their business objectives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality PSO Application consultancy during implementations, upgrades and ongoing support to our customers in the Region.
  • Understand and document complex planning and scheduling requirements.
  • Good technical understanding of data, databases and interfaces.
  • Set up and configure PSO to meet customer requirements / expectations.
  • Provide training and mentoring to customer team members and other IFS consultants.
  • Remain knowledgeable and familiar on supported versions of the software.
  • Work closely with other IFS consultants to ensure complete solutions are provided to customers.
  • Maintain a degree of knowledge of methods and requirements for interfacing with external applications.
  • Document clear specifications for delivery by others (e.g. Partners, offshore, Customer, etc.).
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement of existing IFS processes and methodology
  • Self manage smaller activities, particularly where no IFS Project Manager has been assigned.
  • Take an active part in building a strong network globally.
  • Assist with pre-sales opportunities or activities outside of the Region when required.
  • Deliver a high degree of customer service (internally and externally).
  • Mentors junior project and team members.
  • Willing to travel to customer sites as required.

Qualifications

Overall Required Competence

  • Experience of implementing applications that solve complex scheduling problems (ideally from a Field Service industry).
  • Ability to run workshops and lead project teams.
  • Good understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Commercially aware.
  • Can demonstrate a 'can do' attitude and willingness to push through obstacles.

Required Education & Experience

  • An academic background with a Bachelor or Master’s degree in engineering, Business or IT is preferred.
  • Essential - Prior experience with advanced scheduling and optimization applications.
