Job Description

At IFS, the business has well-defined KPIs for Marketing's contribution to (1) lead generation & pipeline and (2) brand awareness growth.

The Global Data Services Manager supports data management, governance and enrichment in IFS’s business ‘engine’ – its CRM. This role supports both central marketing team needs as well as regional team needs in driving & executing data hygiene & validation, data acquisition & enhancement in IFS CRM. In addition, this role is an expert and go-to on reporting in IFS CRM. In short, this individual must be a ‘do-er’ who is bold in how they get things done.

In order for the IFS Global Marketing organization to achieve its objectives in these 2 key areas, it must be able to both ensure the data in its systems is reliable and accurate – but it must also be able to quickly spot issues in its systems that might lead to poor data quality in reporting and analysis.

This role will lead the enrichment and management of CRM data for IFS global marketing. It will rely on the ability to both be an expert in IFS’s CRM system but also in how to enrich CRM data with 3rd party resources. These include tools like ZoomInfo, HG Insights and insights from Marketo, IFS’s marketing automation tool. 

The two most crucial factors to the success of this role are: the ability to quickly and expertly learn / understand / utilize IFS CRM system and how it supports our business – and to have excellent organization and project management skills to manage / track / deliver on a broad scope of work and requests.   

  • Collaborate with the central marketing team to build services that enable our teams and regions to be more effective
  • Ensure accuracy of data and work to identify/mitigate recurring issues
  • Across the 3 key areas of the role (highlighted below), effectively manage priorities, workload and additional resources to drive toward excellence in data management services within our marketing organization
  • Conduct statistical analyses by mining data for insights that standard reporting does not provide
  • Research and evaluate supplementary tools & technologies IFS should consider to enrich, augment and cleanse our data
  • Ensure security compliance in accordance with GDPR and all other major regulatory laws
  • Serve as Line Manager to Data Services Specialist and direct workload in accordance with priorities
  • To this end, one of the first orders of business will be to quickly establish a framework for managing projects and workflows for transparency in work conducted, status and progress

Data Services for Regions (70% of scope):

  • Perform bulk updates to CRM records (customer, contact and business activity)
  • Perform data hygiene checks, which include duplication checks
  • Update and enhance CRM customer records (firmographic and demographic information from 3rd party tools, as well as IFS customer information on product and ‘go live’date)
  • Update main representatives
  • Undertake ZoomInfo requests to enrich IFS data in CRM
  • Undertake ad hoc uploads of business activities as requested by internal clients
  • In support of CEO Chief of Staff, update Microsoft Partner Center
  • Manage data as a service requests with HG Insights (acting as liaison with regions)

Data Services for Marketing Operations (20% of scope):

  • Manage the Campaign ID (‘Source ID’) process in support of activities in regions and business units
  • Maintain data in Marketing Dashboard in PowerBI (Pipeline, ABM, Campaigns reports)
  • Support set-up of marketing campaigns in CRM for both regional and central marketing managers
  • Troubleshoot Marketing Campaign reporting issues in CRM as challenges arise
  • Troubleshoot CRM queries – including raising incidents with IFS Corporate Services when needed

CRM reporting detail (10% of job scope):

  • Support CRM Demand process to address customization requirements in CRM system
  • Submit and execute builds of quick reports with IFS Corporate Services
  • Where appropriate, create and standardize Quick Reports in CRM
  • Key Account reporting and monitoring
  • Troubleshoot query building in CRM together with internal clients

Qualifications

Essential:

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, as a data services manager at a global technology company
  • Fluency in CRM systems, including data hygiene, reporting / querying, and analysis
  • Fluency in MSFT Excel
  • Skill in using business software systems in the completion of work assignments including Access, SPSS
  • Working knowledge of Power BI
  • Ability to project manage
  • Capable of building stable and scalable high-performance services
  • Strong affinity for identifying problems and developing innovative solutions
  • Deep experience with CRM systems as they support lead management, marketing campaigns and the overall sales funnel
  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to articulate, diagram and documen​​​​​​t
