A software designer at IFS designs and maintains functionality included in IFS products. The work is focused on interpreting and analyzing business requirements to create fit-for-purpose and enterprise-grade software. Business value, usability and solution consistency are key aspects of this work.

Someone in this role uses their functional industry know-how to design and maintain the products in a way that ensures product sustainability throughout the product’s lifecycle. Software designer at IFS demonstrates a strong commitment to the product quality and takes proactive action to prevent issues from arising and resolve them quickly and effective when they still do occur. To participate in design reviews and to apply sound and established software design practices and principles is part of the day-to-day work. So is defining and using design patterns, quality metrics, test cases and best practices. A software designer at IFS continuously expands their business process domain as well as technical knowledge and shares this knowledge to guide others.

• Degree in Engineering covering Chemical & Process, Mechanical, Production & Maintenance or equivalent streams. 
• The ability to efficiently engage with requirement owners and other stakeholders while contributing to activities related to product/solution management. 
• Excellent Communication and Presentation skills along with the ability of applying expertise & technology to achieve work objectives. 
• Experience in technical design and programming skills will be an added advantage.
