Job Description

Environments Systems Engineers are responsible for delivering support on product environments of Global Presales, Product Preview, global support and customer projects including tool support for JIRA, Citrix, SVN, CA Harvest on prem and as well as in cloud.

The work scope includes troubleshooting technical faults, installation, technical configuration, technical support and patch management of the IFS product suite as per the Corporate Services (CoS) Support Offering and supported Integrations hosted both on-prem and in the Cloud. Knowledge of IT infrastructure, as well as strong problem-solving skills, are essential.

Capability of working in a distributed team set up and operating in European time Zone shift is required.

·       Have a deep knowledge in IFS product suite installations and integrations.

·       Have a good understanding of CoS Support Scope definitions and Support Processes

·       Focus on preventive maintenance and proactive monitoring to ensure operational efficiency, performance and security

·       Familiar with integration technologies and standards used in the industry

·       Familiar Application Servers such as Oracle Weblogic and also various communications standards and protocols including SOAP, HTTP, HTTPS, SSL and SMTP/POP3

·       Able to diagnose and resolve complex technical faults

·       Taking the lead on own assignments as well as in team assignments

·       Excellent communication with all applicable stakeholders

·       Provide direction by mentoring and coaching others

·       Actively help peers to complete assignments on time and advise on approach and resolution choices

Qualifications

  • University degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent
  • Azure certifications are added qualifications
  • Familiar in supporting Oracle databases, MS SQL Server, Oracle Weblogic and supporting operating systems (Linux, Windows Server).
  • Understanding of containerized environments such as Docker/Rancher/Kubernetes
  • Familiar in cloud platforms (AZURE)
  • Good knowledge of scripting and automation
  • Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills along with a service mind set
  • Capability of working in a distributed team set up with European time Zone shift
  • ITIL qualifications, at foundation or higher levels, would be useful but are not mandatory.
