Job Description

As a senior systems engineer, you will be responsible modernizing IT environment by identifying problems, evaluating options, designing solutions and executing on deployment of best practices based infrastructure across a broad set of on-premises and cloud based Microsoft technologies. You will also be responsible for tier 3 support for the Microsoft technologies deployed.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, Deliver and Support cost-effective and secure enterprise scale highly available infrastructure on-premises and in the cloud with a focus on automation, supportability, and standards.
  • Enhance existing unified collaboration platform build on a hybrid Azure AD/Office 365 and on-premises Active Directory environment including Exchange, Teams, OneDrive, and supporting tools.
  • Provide Technical Tier 3 support for all Microsoft technologies including multiple Azure AD tenants.
  • Create documentation and standard operating procedures for all build and deployed Solutions/Services.
  • Proactively identify potential issues with Security, performance, capacity, usability, or supportability and design solutions to continuously improve the Microsoft technologies deployed at IFS.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to deliver new solutions or enhance existing solutions.
  • Act as senior escalation point for assigned technologies, providing support to other engineering and operations team members.
  • Mentor and train individuals on best-practices, troubleshooting, and automation.
  • Understand industry trends and provide input on infrastructure lifecycle and what’s next for Microsoft COE (Center Of Excellence) within IT operations.
  • Participate in major incident reviews, assisting in the identification of root cause and remediation needed to permanently restore service.
  • Work parallelly with support and on-going technology projects as assigned.
  • Provide afterhours support as needed for critical systems (Ex: Maintenance & Escalations) and collaborate with Team members in different time zones)
  • Flexibility to work with a global team in multiple time zones when needed during team meetings and technical workshops.
  • Assists with other duties as directed by management and achieve goals set to be align with organizational goals.
  • Be punctual and provide timely status updates for the work task assignments to team lead/Director.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

5+ year senior level enterprise experience with the following Microsoft Technologies

  •      Azure, Azure AD, Enterprise Apps
  •      Active Directory
  •      Office 365 – Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive
  •      Microsoft Windows Server (2012, 2016, 2019)
  •      Microsoft Licensing
  •      Defender AV and Defender ATP
  •      Exchange (2010, 2013, 2016, and 2019) – DKIM, DMARK, SPF
  •      ADFS, SSO, and SAML, ATA
  •      Group Policy
  •      DLP, AIP, Cloud App Security, O365 Content search, Audit
  •      Experience in Cyber Security and how it related to Microsoft technologies
  •      5+ year experience in scripting (PowerShell and/or Python)
  •      Leadership skills to manage projects and initiatives through to completion

Optional/Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS and GCP
  • Knowledge in Power App and Power Automate
  • Demonstrated high level analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify new opportunities and technical methods to solve business problems.
  • Certification of Microsoft technologies
  • Experience in integrating Mergers and acquisitions (Tenant migrations)
  • Knowledge in SharePoint
  • Intune and System Center products
  • MAM & MDM
  • Microsoft Identity Manager
