Job Description

We are looking for an innovative and dynamic ServiceNow DevOps Software Engineer to join our IT team. Responsibilities include the design, development, maintenance and support of high-quality software solutions on our ServiceNow platform in alignment with our Agile development process in order to deliver robust solutions to our internal business and technical clients utilizing the ServiceNow platform, (within the ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HR, and ITBM product space).  We support a broad range of users across the organization with a wide variety of demands from the platform.  Some night and weekend hours may be required, depending on the needs of the organization and of each project. 

·       Overall responsibility for the successful planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure of all technical tasks related to configuration and implementation of all aspects of the ServiceNow platform.

·       Efficient and effective throughput of delivering solutions prioritized against a roadmap and Agile release schedule.

·       Provide software coding and customization for all aspects of the platform: i.e. UI form layout and design, scripting, workflows, business rules, proper platform security/administration, data design, custom integrations, by working with ServiceNow Specialists and Architects and other development team members.

·       Assist and coordinate UAT and release management for each ServiceNow solution.

·       Coordinate, document and solve complex technical data and transformation issues.

·       Obtain, analyze, and interpret business requirements to create sustainable solutions in ServiceNow.

·       Develop and/or enhance KB articles for technical and support staff as well as end-users

·       Troubleshoot technical & process issues, resulting in timely resolution or escalation of user incidents

·       Understand and work within Incident, Request, Change, Problem processes

·       Mentor and guide more junior staff.

Qualifications

3 to 5 years of hands-on design, development, deployment and operational support experience in Java Script environment.

- Ability to gather/refine requirements, test, build and implement solutions based on customer requests.

- Good understanding of ITIL/ITSM processes.

- Load, manipulate and maintain data between systems through REST APIs.

- Ability to perform system and integration testing with both sample and live data.

- Integrations with 3rd party tools using (web services, SOAP, email, MID, etc.).

- Troubleshoot existing solutions, including, but not limited to core components like AD, LDAP, SSO, etc.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and in a team of matrixed application developers to deliver solutions on-time

- Ability to act as mentor and to guide less experienced developers as needed.

- Strong knowledge and mastery of English language, both written and verbal.

2 or more years of hands-on design, development and deployment experience on the Service-now platform.

- Ability to perform integrations and process automation using ServiceNow workflows and Orchestration.

- Administration of ServiceNow platform, including issue and performance mitigation, health checks

- Ability to administer ServiceNow users, roles and access.

- Experience in monitoring health, usage and overall compliance of the ServiceNow application and MID servers.

- Service now implementation experience in ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB & Asset).

- Strong understanding of ITIL Service Operation processes

- Exposure to and/or experience in Agile development environments

- Exposure to and/or experience with Service Catalog, Service Portal, Project & Portfolio, Agent, Dashboards and Reporting

- Exposure to and/or experience with Integration Hub

- Exposure to and/or experience with Performance Analytics

- Exposure to and/or experience with Knowledge Management, Knowledge Base and KCS concepts
