Job Description
Skills: Writer. Editor. Digital Marketer.
We are looking to hire a passionate writer to join our digital marketing team.
You will take a leading role as we develop our content (i.e. blogs, whitepapers), messaging and social media posts targeted for aspiring young leaders and entrepreneurs campaign.
Additionally you will be involved in content publishing strategies, helping to edit articles for recognized outlets such as Huffington Post, Entrepreneur and Forbes.
Content themes include social enterprise, youth-led innovation, girls in STEM, youth leadership and business topics such as millennial engagement, digitalization at work and generation trends.
Responsibilities Include:
Creating shareable digital content such as blogs, professional articles and whitepapers
Editing articles written by our founder/CEO for external media sites
Planning content publishing strategies and finding new sites to distribute content
Assisting with social media channels including twitter and instagram finding interesting and shareable content that aligns with the brand
Preparing marketing materials such as sell sheets, powerpoint presentations, grant applications and sponsorship packages
Assisting with CEO communication by reviewing and formatting communications (presentations, emails, reports, Excel spreadsheets); composing and sending independent responses to emails, when appropriate; creatively using communication technology; and maintaining contacts in database
Leading market research creating databases for influencer outreach, client cold-calling, media events and potential leads for strategic alliances as applicable
Assisting with team management ensuring guest content contributors remained engaged and aligned with our brand messaging
Support CEO with ad hoc writing/editing projects as requested.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Graduated from a program with an emphasis on English, Writing or Marketing
Skilled at writing engaging and succinct content, with a talent for being able to condense long form text into to the point and easy to understand language
Extremely organized, efficient, and detail-oriented
Proven ability to multi-task and manage conflicting priorities
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce executive level material for senior management and compelling marketing communications
Solution-oriented & resourceful, including ability to use the Internet to research solutions
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment & within ambiguity and constant change
Willingness to learn with a “can-do” attitude
An ability to execute and follow through
Strong team management and leadership skills
Personable, friendly and warm
