Job Description
IDIQ is searching for a Business Development Sales Support Representative to identify, incubate, and nurture relationships with prospective and existing corporate clients and insurance brokers/consultants. Works closely with the sales team and supports them with their continual efforts to build and nurture a strong pipeline of new business opportunities. This will entail, but not be limited to, direct and indirect communications with prospective and existing corporate clients and insurance brokerage/consultant firms, as well as working closely with key internal stakeholders including marketing, sales operations, and product development teams to implement and execute business development initiatives.
Primary of Responsibilities
- Establish and build new client relationships through a variety of outreach channels.
- Pursue warm leads and strengthen existing account relationships for sales managers.
- Gather pertinent information to qualify a lead.
- Maintain on-going communication with current accounts to determine needs, solicit feedback, and promote new services.
- Conduct phone prospecting and route qualified clients to the appropriate sales team member(s).
- Coordinate and schedule meetings between the prospects and sales managers.
- Respond in a timely, professional, and proactive manner to all inbound client inquiries.
- Support customer service efforts by answering questions and coordinating the involvement of appropriate internal resources, as applicable.
- Work closely with the marketing team to plan and execute marketing events designed to engage new and existing clientele.
- Assist with driving sales campaigns as necessary.
- Attend conventions as necessary.
- Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
- At least two-year’s experience in business development
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in the insurance or employee benefit field.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or marketing preferred.
- Experience cold calling and prospecting for clients
- Experience in MS office and CRM platforms
Preferred Skill and Experience:
- Strong interpersonal, oral presentation and written communication skills.
- Self-starter with proven record of success under minimal guidance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong follow-through and a focus on owning the outcome.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Solid understanding of users, the marketplace, competition and trends for consumer credit, finance or identity theft verticals.
- Proven ability to clearly define a set of requirements that pinpoint business challenges and identify technical and business changes required to address them.

Additional Information
Position Details: This is a full-time hourly position. This position can be done working remotely within the United States.
Pay: The pay range for this position if the work is performed in California (Colorado, New York, New York) is a minimum of $23.00 to a maximum of $29.00 based on a full-time schedule. The actual compensation offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. This position is commission eligible.
