Job Description

The Sr UX Designer will work closely with product and enterprise leaders to find the best solutions to our most important challenges. Their work results in measurable improvements in user experiences throughout the IDIQ ecosystem. They have a deep understanding of human-centered design and UX practices.
 

  • Partner with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define great experiences from initial concept through successful implementation
  • Visualize and prototype intended solutions at various levels of fidelity, from high-level wireframes or mock-ups to conceptual presentations to highly technical documents and diagrams
  • Work on a of range of projects, from vague to well-defined, simple to complex, implementation to innovation and drive them from concept to conclusion
  • Communicate ideas, solutions, and designs through appropriate documentation and artifacts
  • Familiarity with user research methods
  • Use analytics and data to inform or drive design decisions for outcomes that engage customers
  • Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time
  • Collaborate with engineering resources based both locally and offshore, participate in meetings that align with offshore hours (8-10pm or 6-8 am) as needed to ensure delivery of assigned objectives

Qualifications

  • 4+ years UX / Interaction Design experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Strong portfolio showing examples of complex design solutions highlighting your end-to-end design process from concept including (but not limited to): research, user flows, IA, and journey mapping through development ready hand-off files.

Preferred Experience and Skill:

  • Ability to clearly articulate design decisions and the rationale behind them
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-disciplinary teams
  • Understanding of an agile/scrum development process
  • Ability and interest in mentoring junior team members
  • Proficiency with current design and collaboration tools (Figma, Miro, etc.)
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with the ability to work closely with engineers to implement designs
  • Bonus: Expanded interest in design research, motion graphics, data visualization

Position Details: This is a full-time salaried position (40+ hours/week).
