Job Description

The Underwriting Manager position will be responsible for overseeing the Underwriting and  Asset Management  within the Business Units in Commercial Real Estate. 

·         Manage team of underwriters and prioritize workflow

·         Review/edit credit write-ups upon completion by underwriters in order to maintain a consistent and high quality product.

·         Work with Business Unit Managers to prioritize underwriting requests.

·         Review appraisals, due diligence reports and Lareta reports

·        Train and coach Underwriters to better develop their analytical skills

Qualifications

  • Officer will have strong managerial, credit and organizational skills.
  • 7 to 10 years of experience of managerial and underwriting experience
  • Bachelors Degree in a related field is required  
  • Must have strong credit skills and experience with Commercial Real Estate and Construction Lending.
  • Must be able to work as part of the Middle Office team with other business unit Underwriting Managers.
  • Willingness to take on special projects as they arise.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
