Business Unit Introduction
The IBM Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) organization spans several functional areas such as procurement, manufacturing, demand-supply planning, manufacturing engineering, logistics, customer fulfillment, accounts receivable collection and sales transaction support.

Who you are
As a Software Asset Analyst you are responsible for managing the Hardware and Software assets of IBM and customer for all Strategic Outsourcing Accounts

What you’ll do
  • Ensuring all Distributed entitlements data is validated by mapping entitlements data to standard product names,
  • Receiving and formatting ongoing software license acquisition/discontinuance information (including software proof of license) from product acquisition groups in Regions
  • Performing discrepancy closures in SW Recon tool, based on data validation and resolution decisions from Account Deliver Program Managers.
  • Amending Software License Base information for software product changes to the Contract Software List
  • Comparing software licensed information to software installed information to identify variances
  • Ensuring that required information is obtained about the changes in vendor names, and resolved
  • Identifying and initiating the required purchases/discontinuances to correct the identified variances
  • Producing and distributing the contracted Software License Management reports
