Arcadis’ Kelowna, BC office is searching for a Civil Engineering Technologist to join its growing team.

Role accountabilities:

  • Duties include design and drafting for the preparation of civil works drawings for land development projects including; subdivisions, commercial and industrial sites as well as public sector capital infrastructure projects including roads, transit, deep utilities, and streetscape projects
  • Lead and assist CAD Team with projects from developing plans, section details, schedules, and quantity take-offs
  • Attend client, municipal, and authority meetings
  • Completion of tasks received from Engineers
  • Ability to resolve and/or communicate any technical issues that may arise
  • Coordination of sub-consultants and municipal approvals
  • Preparation of detailed construction drawings and details
  • The oversight of drafting and design output from junior engineers and technologists which may include project management for the coordination and delivery of a complete detailed design drawing package
  • The provision of quality control on drafting, presentations, and design for any given drawing package

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • Diploma in Civil Technology or Engineering Design and Drafting is essential
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Solid knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Excellent organizational, computer and writing skills
  • Experience with Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience with drafting and assisting on tender documents, technical specifications, schedule of quantities, and construction cost estimates would be an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills/positive attitude and ability to work in a team atmosphere is required
  • Proficient in Civil 3D (2020 and up)
  • Registered or ability to become registered with ASET or ASTTBC is required
