Job Description

Join our growing Intelligence practice in the United States as a System Implementation Manager, working with a range of clients and colleagues dedicated to progressing solutions for tolling, ITS, traffic management, traveler information and more. We are seeking candidates that have extensive experience managing projects, finances, stakeholders and working directly with clients. Initially working 100% remotely with a transition to long-term project(s) that require on-site presence for a key role in the Program Management office.

This position will primarily support the tolling group within the Intelligence Global Business Area (GBA) in the USA, helping to grow our presence in the USA while keeping track of a wider business development in our Intelligence sector. This person will work with various technical staff and project leads, balancing shifting priorities and working under tight deadlines for delivery and implementation of solutions. As such, we are looking for a System Implementation Manager with exceptional leadership skills, big-picture thinker and visionary but at the same time with attention to details and natural conflict resolution skills.

Role Responsibilities:

  • A proactive project management approach taking ownership of projects of varying size and budget, ensuring the on-time delivery of Arcadis IBI solutions, services and support.
  • An exceptional and seasoned manager to direct project team and provide briefs to executive management.
  • A strong contract manager and artful consensus builder working in partnership with client.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes.
  • Exhibit leadership qualities by leading elements of major and complex projects while also being able to work on small projects independently, with and without a supporting team.
  • Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation.
  • Proactive management of project budget and resource requirements, oversight of finances, provision and execution of timely changes.
  • Familiar with Earned Value Management
  • Maintain and track project budgets..
  • Facilitate the management of resources and activities of the team. Develop and maintain staff resource allocation database for Intelligence staff.
  • Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedule and work plan.
  • A proactive risk assessor and mitigator
  • An independent thinker, dynamic driven and multi-tasker individual with a good understanding of transportation field.
  • Exhibit strong technical knowledge on systems and software.
  • Proactive problem solver with a creative and out-of-box thinking.
  • Demonstrate high professional standards, great written and oral communications and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Support business development activities for both promotion of toll solutions and consulting, including networking with clients, supporting new initiatives, market analysis, and client operational analysis.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Completed University Degree in engineering, finance, computer science or related.
  • Minimum of 15 years in a leadership and/or project management role for delivery of toll system, delivery of third-party systems, and operations and maintenance of systems.
  • Experience directly managing, working and communicating with clients.
  • Familiarity with US tolling and other related transportation areas.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Proficiency in MSOffice (MS Word, Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams)
  • Proven ability to multitask concurrent projects.
  • Willingness to travel to internal and client meetings and conferences for up to 20% annually.
  • Curiosity and interest in developing themselves and new skills, and excited for new challenges.
  • Ability to balance creativity with client requirements.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented; proven track record of meeting project timelines.
  • PMP desired.
  • Knowledge of JIRA, Miro, SharePoint, Power BI, Visio.
