Our Talent, Diversity & Inclusion team in Toronto is seeking a contract Talent & Learning Specialist for 18 months.

Reporting directly to the Manager of Global Talent, Diversity & Inclusion, this position will play a key role in supporting the planning, delivery and execution of Talent Development initiatives for our Global Audience.

This role focuses on the design, development, delivery and evaluation of programs such as Learning, Leadership and Career Development, Employee Recognition, Performance Management and Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging.
 

Most of the things you’ll work on:

  • Design, develop, support and deliver talent development programs, initiatives and projects
  • Partner with stakeholders and other support functions to support Talent, Diversity & Inclusion initiatives and provide solutions to ensure business challenges and needs are addressed through development programs
  • Create, monitor and update project plans to report on project status, risks and completion requirements
  • Write, implement and monitor communications for internal stakeholders 
  • Design and maintain the HR SharePoint site for employees
  • Conduct research into HR best practices to support and inform the development of programs/initiatives. Respond to questions and inquiries from participants and stakeholders to ensure issues are resolved
  • Monitor program effectiveness through program evaluations and recommend improvements and solutions
  • Work closely with HR Business Partners and other stakeholders to align Talent, Diversity & Inclusion programs to business needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

You'll Need To Have:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Learning/Leadership Development, HR and/or Diversity & Inclusion professional or in a similar capacity
  • Degree/Diploma in Human Resources, Adult Education or related field
  • Experience in designing, implementing and/or managing strategic programs such as Career Development, Leadership Development, Performance Management, Learning, Diversity & Inclusion and/or Succession Planning
  • A consummate team player who brings a passionate, positive and high-energy approach to client service, team management and delivering results
  • Highly effective working with and through others. You have a truly collaborative style with an ability to effectively influence others through a thoughtful and tactful communication style
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with designing and delivering in-person and virtual presentations and learning sessions
  • Experience managing multiple programs and projects at the same time
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office software (Word, Power Point, Share Point, Teams, Excel and Outlook).

Additional Information

We are currently in a work from home model during COVID-19, but when we do return to the office we're located at 55 St. Clair Ave West, this office is steps away from St. Clair station and is easily accessible by bike, TTC and car. Occupying 7 floors, with over 700 employees, it is the largest office at IBI Group. The floors are open concept and represent our collaborative approach to projects.
