IBI Group’s Toronto office is seeking a talented data warehouse and database developer to join its growing and dynamic team!


Our Corporate Information Systems Team delivers complex solutions that involves different technologies, systems and target users and push the limits of creative thinking to deliver what our clients are expecting for a fast growing organization in terms of robust, effective and reliable information systems platform.
You will have the opportunity to work within a great, close-knit team and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders across IBI Group.Responsibilities:

Most of the things you'll work on:

  • Design, integrate and maintain complex software components for IBI corporate functions
  • Perform system integration as well as support work for current systems
  • Participate in the overall functioning of the development team using existing standard and best practices.
  • Design and develop data warehouse components with data coming from different transactional systems: ERP, CRM, HR
  • Design and develop data base solutions based on Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS and other Microsoft or third-party data base and data warehouse tools
  • Development and delivery of project and activity-based analytics to enable evidence-based decision-making, while supporting efforts to enhance and maintain the current infrastructure and suite of applications (including Microsoft SQL Services, Microsoft Azure, Power BI)
  • Work in Extract Transform and Load (ETL) development and testing using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Understand and Interpret business requirements, design documents and understand specifications, data model, and design of enterprise systems and data sources

Qualifications

You'll need to have:

  • Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or a related discipline
  •  Must have 3 to 5 years' relevant experience in application development with strong experience in data warehouse, business intelligence and database development
  •  Previous experience with Power BI and Azure Data Factory
  •  Experience in Designing  and developing data base solutions based on Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS and other Microsoft or third-party data base and data warehouse tools. Hands on with  Extract Transform and Load (ETL) development and testing using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  •  Strong in incident identification, problem solving, and documentation
  •  Must be able to work in a dynamic environment with rapidly changing requirements.
  •  Demonstrated ability to achieve goals in an innovative and fast paced environment
  •  Strong oral and written communication skills to advise users and management on general and specific technology and business solutions leveraged on data warehouse, business intelligence and data base
  •  Ability to provide options and recommendations to a variety of audiences, including non-technical management 
  •  Committed to developing highly stable and quality driven products.

This office is steps away from St. Clair station and is easily accessible by bike, TTC and car. Occupying 7 floors, with over 650 employees, it is the largest office at IBI Group. The floors are open concept and represent our collaborative approach to projects.
