Job Description

Here’s how we work:

IBI Group's Kelowna office is searching for a Project Manager  to join its growing team. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with our High-rise residential group.

Most of the things you’ll work on:

  • Functions as project lead with a focus on client relationships, managing the project team and coordination with jurisdictional authorities

  • Oversees design, production, and specifications produced by other project team members
  • Oversee construction administration and field services of the projects
  • Ensure design and construction drawings are delivered to meet client schedules
  • Maintain control over the overall design vision through all phases of the project
  • Develops project staff-hours and planning schedule for design, construction and construction administration phases of the project
  • Manages, develops and mentors assigned team members
  • May participate in marketing and business development efforts
     

Qualifications

You'll need to have:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience working in an architectural firm with a focus on quality design on Revit based projects
  • University degree in Architecture
  • Knowledge of Civic, Educational (specifically K-12 or Community College, preferred), Healthcare, or Mixed-Use Architecture
  • Strong technical knowledge of building construction and thorough understanding of construction documents
  • Proven project and team leadership in design, construction and delivery roles
  • An ability to understand and develop architectural ideas, independently and collaboratively
  • Effective communicator (verbal and written)
  • Comfortable communicating with clients/consultants on a daily basis
  • Ideal candidates must be a team player who is well organized, detail oriented, focused, design driven, accurate and able to meet deadlines under pressure
