Are you a highly skilled and technically adept individual with a passion for software development and a desire to shape innovative products? We are seeking a Product Owner with exceptional technical skills and software development experience to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be a key driver in translating technical capabilities into impactful product features, ensuring the successful delivery of cutting-edge software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Product Vision and Strategy
    • Develop a clear product development strategy by leveraging your deep understanding of software development and technical expertise.
    • Collaborate with Iberia to define product goals and align them with the company's overall objectives.
  • Requirements Gathering and Prioritization
    • Work closely with stakeholders, customers, and development teams to gather detailed technical requirements.
    • Use your technical knowledge to prioritize features and user stories, ensuring that they align with both Iberia’s needs and technical feasibility.
    • Apply your technical knowledge to prioritize features and user stories, ensuring alignment with our company's needs and technical feasibility.
    • Make data-driven decisions and adapt the product roadmap as necessary.
  • Technical Leadership
    • Provide technical leadership to development teams by offering guidance, resolving technical challenges, and making informed decisions.
    • Stay updated on the latest industry trends and emerging technologies, applying your knowledge to enhance product development.
  • User-Centric Approach
    • Advocate for the user experience and represent the voice of the customer in all product discussions
    • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure that user needs are translated into intuitive and effective product designs.
  • Backlog Management
    • Create and maintain a well-defined product backlog with detailed user stories, technical specifications, and acceptance criteria.
    • Continuously groom the backlog to reflect changing priorities and evolving requirements.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Foster open and effective communication between cross-functional teams (Iberia), development, QA, and other relevant stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with developers to provide clarifications, address questions, and ensure a shared understanding of product goals.
  • Release Planning and Delivery
    • Participate in release planning, defining the scope and content of each release.
    • Monitor the progress of development activities, ensuring that features are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
  • Quality Assurance and Testing
    • Collaborate with QA teams to define test cases and ensure thorough testing of product features.
    • Ensure that software quality and performance standards are met throughout the development lifecycle.

Requisitos

Qualifications and experience:

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in a software development environment (minimum 3-5 years’ experience in similar role). Experience in Innovation is a plus.
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software development, programming languages, and technical architecture. Understanding of the latest tech trends is a plus.
  • Excellent understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban. SAFe certification is a plus
  • Proficiency in translating complex functional and technical concepts into clear and concise user stories and requirements. Knowledge in cloud computing, networking and architecture is a plus.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex technical challenges.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to navigate into work closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proactiveness, initiative taking and attention to detail are crucial qualities for this role.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.

Experience in the airline industry an innovation sector is a plus.
