Job Description

As a Product Owner (Jira Admin) within the Collaboration team, you will serve as the customer proxy, responsible for working with Product Management and other stakeholders - including other Product Owners, business users, and users of Jira.

The normal responsibilities of Product Ownership to help define stories, prioritise the teams backlog and create roadmaps for the team, to streamlining the execution of changes & priorities, while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the features or components for the team(s).

You will also play a significant role in maximizing the value produced by the team(s), ensuring Stories meet the user’s needs and comply with the Definition of Done.

In addition to the Product owner duties, you will also form part of the Jira Admin team, ensuring that customer requests are understood, impact assessed, administered, which may also include provisioning of licenses, self help, and guides

The IAG Collaboration team is built on a foundation of Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Advanced Roadmaps, and exploring further Atlassian products) with integrations to additional specialist tools. Experience of these technologies is highly desirable.

Qualifications

IT leadership, gained in a complex global organization, ideally in a business and technology delivery environments.

Experience of working as a Product Owner in a Scum / SAFe / Agile environment, with strong understanding of Agile ceremonies and ways of working

Demonstrable experience of successfully leading Product teams in an Agile setting, whilst also taking into consideration Waterfall delivery initiatives.

Demonstrable experience of documentation, which must include Scope Statements, Epics and User Stories.

Experience of being a Jira Admin including;

  • Be the go to person for everything Jira
  • setup new projects
  • setup best practices
  • train new users
  •  train other power users (PMs etc..)
  • reporting
  • find plugins for specific needs
  • implement new solutions, find new solutions, be the problem solver 
  • help implement new workflows, schemes etc... 
  • modify anything as needed to enable the teams to work better and smarter
  • implement automations for the same


Experience of operating across multiple countries and cultures is desirable, but not essential.
