Job Description

Purpose of the role

  • Implement the Strategic Sourcing Cycle with the use of procurement tools.
  • Support the integration and harmonization of procurement strategies across the group.

Accountabilities

  • Manage multiple procurement processes and technologies to support the strategic sourcing cycle.
  • Recommend and implement new streamlined techniques and processes to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Resolve broad and complex procurement processes and systems.
  • Serve as an expert in providing guidance to procurement colleagues on the use of procurement systems.
  • Implement simple and clear metrics for governance and success measurement, and performance manages achievement.
  • Incorporate and embed the use of procurement technology into all appropriate supply chain activities.
  • Lead on procurement projects to drive continuous improvement for the group as delegated by the Procurement Lead.
  • Teach procurement processes to others as required.

  • Degree and/or the ability to demonstrate knowledge of working in an international procurement environment.

  • Ability to influence, align diverse views and gain consensus, providing clarity and direction on what is to be achieved and break down barriers that get in way of effective team working.

  • Working knowledge of the languages of the countries of IAG operating companies is an asset: working knowledge of Spanish is particularly important.
  • Experience using e-technology in all aspects of the supply chain.
  • Demonstrated experience in a procurement buying role, or the mind-set required to effectively procure products and services.
  • Able to identify opportunities where e-procurement systems can be developed to improve efficiencies of supply chain activities.
  • Up to date with current e-procurement best practice.
