Job Description

To be trusted partner of the Data & Innovation business areas owning the design, delivery and operation of Cross Tech Products and Initiatives, as one of the key foundations to provide our customers with their best end to end travel experience.

As the lead of Data Analytics Products, serve as the customer proxy, responsible for working with Product Management and other stakeholders—including other Product Owners.

Responsible for defining Stories and prioritizing the Product Backlog to streamline the execution of programme priorities, while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the features or components for the team.

Play a significant role in maximizing the value produced by the team, ensuring requirements meet the user’s needs and comply with the Definition of Done.

Act as a key role/agent in Data & Innovation initiatives across the Group and in the Operating Company.

  • Track value delivered to end customers through a proper set of KPIs that measure relevancy (e.g. NPS), usage (e.g. transaction volumes), performance (e.g. SLAs), quality (e.g. defects) and delivery (e.g. velocity)
  • Collaborate with the business Innovation agile tech teams to detail stories with acceptance criteria and examples in the form of acceptance tests (Behavior-Driven Development (BDD))
  • Validate that the story meets acceptance criteria, ensuring that it complies with its Definition of Done (DoD).
  • Understand the scope of upcoming enabler work and collaborate with Solution Architects/Engineering to assist with decision-making and sequencing.
  • Participate in team demos and retrospectives with Data & Innovation teams and any other stakeholders including the Iteration Retrospectives, with the aim of improving Agile Release Train’s (ART’s), processes and working practices.
  • Coordinate dependencies with other Product Owners.
  • Work across teams to define and implement improvement stories that will increase the velocity and quality of the programme.
  • Attend the relevant Product Management events for planning and Programme Backlog/Vision refinement.
  • Delivery skills across a number of agile initiatives, the breadth and complexity of which will vary depending on experience.
  • Ensure the Cross Innovation team is up-to-date with leading edge tech features.

Qualifications

  • Analytical skills to present to create analyses that tell a “story” focused on insights and data
  • Ability to build a strong and trustworthy relationship with the Stakeholders of the Digital Transformation department in the Operating Company.
  • Ability to define Cross Data & Innovation product tech features roadmap based on business requirements, prioritize and sequence product features, coordinating releases, deciding on timing and content
  • Capacity to prepare for Programme Increment (PI) planning events, update the team backlog and contribute to the programme vision, roadmap, and content presentations
  • Ability to support story definition, providing the clarifications necessary to assist agile tech teams with their story estimates and sequencing.
  • Ability to convey complex technical issues internally to both technical and non-technical individuals
  • Skills to prioritize and reprioritize the backlog items based on user value, time, and other team dependencies determined in the PI planning event and refined during the PI.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and present the results with attention to detail and accuracy
  • 3+ years of product management experience gathering client requirements, writing product and/or technical specifications, working with development teams, and managing product roadmaps as well as launches
  • At least 3 years of direct client engagement experience
  • Experience with Agile methodology
  • Experience working with Jira, writing detailed user stories and supporting acceptance criteria
  • Hands-on experience with data extraction, manipulation, and analyses; including SQL stored procedures, complex joins, creation of views, and database scripting
  • Experience with systems integration, data governance, and security compliance

This position is a hybrid position (on-site and remote).

This role may require travel and working from multiple sites/locations. Willing and able to travel to participate in meetings, workshops, and other related activities.
