Purpose of the role:

In IAG GBS, every day is different. And the same is true for Treasury team. What makes our role unique is opportunity to work closely with Front Office trading desk, perform MTM valuation on derivatives, sensitivity analysis, hedge accounting, and intercompany accounting in line with treasury policies and accounting standards (IFRS) in a complex global business environment, within the ever-changing and exciting airline industry.

You will make an impact in this role by:

Being responsible for monthly MTM valuation (e.g. SWAPs, FORWARDs, OPTIONs), accurate and timely hedge accounting on financial instruments and derivatives and ensuring compliance with required accounting standards.

Fulfilling periodic, reporting requirements to Group Treasury / Front Office and OpCos including statutory and management reporting, hedge sensitivity and performance analysis, forecasted and actual financial positions, financial and business planning with variance analysis

Providing technical accounting expertise to the Treasury Team on transactions

Ensuring hedging documentation and accounting treatment for hedging transactions are in accordance with required accounting standards

Providing accurate and timely submissions for tax and audit requirements

 

Qualifications

To achieve in this role, you are likely to have:


MS degree in Finance, Economics or related fields

Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a multinational company

Education to degree level ACA/ACCA/CIMA would be an asset

Ability to operate with a high degree of independence and autonomy, demonstrated by strong planning, organisational and time management skills

Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to evaluate, analyse and solve problems; excellent problem solving and data analysing skills

Ability to operate effectively in an environment with tight deadlines and finite resources

Excellent English language skills
