Job Description

Purpose of the role

  • Deliver high quality and timely insights that serve to:
  • Enable the proactive management of the I&O function
  • Proactively identify operational performance issues that impact availability and stability of the IT estate
  • Constantly evolve and improve the customer proposition

 

Accountabilities

Working in partnership with I&O stakeholders to:

 

  • Implement and evolve a suite of reporting for the function, including all sub functions, ensuring alignment with the governance model

 

  • Drive tooling requirements linked to reporting, ensuring full leverage of existing toolset to extract and manipulate data that produces valuable insights

 

  • Drive automation capability and leverage of AI Ops/Machine Learning technology, taking us further on the journey to predicting and preventing service failures.

 

  • Define functional KPIs that enable I&O-wide review to bring together intelligent data points on the overall success of service delivery for each period
  • Identify and drive remediation of data quality issues within the toolset, establishing appropriate guardrails for users and process owners to follow

 

  • Produce and drive improvements in all reporting required for IAG Tech/I&O (e.g. operational reporting to IAG Management Committee)

 

  • Equip the I&O Leadership Team with data and insights that facilitate decision-making on investments, process interventions and risk treatments
  • Support the vendor management and SIAM functions through transparent reporting on supply chain performance

 

  • Drive the rationalisation of reporting and requests for new reporting/collaboration with OpCo reporting teams

 

  • Constantly seek internal and external reference to mature reporting, KPIs, insights and ways of harnessing data to drive functional effectiveness

 

  • Contribute to journey towards consumption-based charging by driving transparency of cost

 

  • Maintain a strong awareness of IT best practice and trends, identifying opportunities for innovation and business change

Qualifications

ITIL qualification is highly desirable, as well as experience of using the ServiceNow platform
