What You Get to Do

Investopedia is seeking a content assistant to work with the managing editor and the SEO manager to update and improve our editorial content. The content assistant will actively recruit and train freelance producers and editors and manage workflow of various projects. Responsibilities include administrative tasks such as paperwork for onboarding freelancers as well as project management and editorial quality control.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess workforce needs for upcoming projects and recruit accordingly
  • Be the main point of contact for freelancers
  • Assign and track projects through various workflow states
  • Create and update production manuals and maintain best practices
  • Help maintain quality control on freelance production
  • Help define publishing and content management tool requirements

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience with a digital publisher, preferably in production or editing
  • Experience working in a CMS
  • Excellent with Excel and able to track large projects
  • Familiarity with Google drive and Google sheets
  • Detail-oriented, with a copy editor’s eye for errors
  • Knowledge of SEO and social media a plus
  • Extremely process-driven and able to rely on data to make decisions
  • Strong communication skills
