Job Description

The Special Ops team at Investopedia exists to make every other development team more productive. As a developer with Special Ops you will build and influence software, tools, and processes that span all parts of the Investopedia ecosystem. You will work with a diverse set of technologies, drive change, and act as a champion of best practice and lean process.


  • Minimum of 2 years experience with full stack web development

  • Strong skills with JavaScript and other object-oriented languages

  • Excited to produce clean, creative solutions with top quality code

  • Enjoy working in a closely-knit, highly collaborative, and self-organizing team

  • Excellent communication skills, especially written

  • Interest in working with a very diverse set of technologies and solving a wide range of problems

These skills are considered a plus:
  • Experience working with modern front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue, or Ember

  • Experience with PHP, Node.js, Python, and/or Ruby

  • Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools such as Chef, Ansible, or Puppet

  • Experience with Git, Docker, and AWS
