Job Description

The Daily Beast is hiring an Associate Director of Growth to manage and grow our newsletter program, oversee advanced SEO implementation, and run our partnerships and influencers plans, all with an eye toward increasing total traffic and diversifying our traffic referral pie.

The Associate Director of Growth will be responsible for developing and implementing data-driven strategies with our Editorial, Product, Dev, Social Media, Data Science, and Analytics teams to send both new and loyal readers to thedailybeast.com. This includes developing and executing promotional campaigns for major enterprise stories, as well working regularly with the Editorial staff on daily content optimization.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience growing a subscriber base for several distinct newsletter products, growing non-social traffic through audience development, and optimizing content and production for search, viral news, and breaking news events.

We want candidates who like to dive into the data themselves using tools such as Google Analytics, Parsely, Social Flow, Google Webmaster and Trends, Crowd Tangle, Dataminr and Buzzsumo.

This person should also have a point of view on how the brand should grow, differentiate itself in the news space, and capitalize on the evolving media landscape.
