Job Description
Position Summary
The After School Youth Sports Program Coach is dedicated to teaching and promoting well-being and self-sufficiency in children through a variety of sports. Using a model that includes creative education and collaboration, our Youth Coaches work with their teams building teamwork skills, and mentoring students on their pathway to success.
Accountability
The Youth Program Activity Coach reports to site coordinator and works with school staff to identify and coordinate success for students. This work will be monitored to measure student success.
Responsibilities
As a Sports Program coach you will be teaching and facilitating a variety of different sports to multiple teams of students within the program. Duties will include:
Enrollment and attendance tracking and delivery to the Site Coordinator
Health and fitness data tracking on an ongoing basis
Develops and maintains positive relationships with school(s) site(s), students and parents
Communicates with parents and schools regarding student success and achievement on a daily basis
Maintains an enthusiastic relationship with coaches and schools, and embodies the Inspirement Tribe culture, values and beliefs
Continuously implements processes and improves operational efficiencies
Adheres to company and school policies
Supervises day-to-day activities
Redirects inappropriate child behavior and reports to school staff
Maintains a clean and orderly designated school space
Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of all students enrolled in the program
Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older
Valid TB results required
Valid CPR and First Aid Certification
Demonstrated ability in sports
Ability to relate to children and adults
Ability to work in noisy and outdoor environments
Solid team player with a demonstrated ability to work in a flexible environment
Self-starter who is detailed-oriented, well organized and enjoys working in a collaborative environment
Demonstrates an ability to work sensitively with diverse people and communities
Strong interpersonal skills, and sound judgement
High standards, integrity, and an authentic sense of humor
Good verbal and written communication skills
