Job Description

Hypenica is looking for an experienced advertising sales specialist to join an established and thriving title.

If you have proven ability to sell consultatively,  are able to manage existing accounts as well as develop new business, are commercially minded and are highly ambitious we’d love to hear from you!

Key responsibilities:

  • Sales management:
  • Able to sell advertising packages in print and/or online media over the telephone and face-to-face.
  • Able to identify new sales opportunities to a market to develop the brand extension.
  • Able to qualify and research potential new clients in new market sectors to attract print and online advertising to the products.
  • Work closely with the publisher and editorial team to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Able to work on short lead times.
  • Able to develop and work through a sales campaign.
  • Achieves and exceeds sales targets.
  • Attend events and industry trade shows to network, represent the brand and identify new customer prospects to approach.
  • Business development: Able to build relationships and contacts with new accounts and create new revenue opportunities from untapped market sectors.
  • Marketing: Working closely with the Marketing team to ensure effective marketing of product leads to sales enquirers.

 

Skills

  • 3+ years b2b sales experience in a media environment.
  • Extensive client networking and relationship building skills.
  • Initiative, enthusiasm, commitment to the role, and pro-active.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
  • Ability to work well under high pressure situations.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification advantageous
  • Drivers licence and own transport a pre-requisit
