Job Description
Essential Requirements
· Good working knowledge and experience of e-commerce activities and all online marketing channels
· Experience of content management systems.
· Previous experience using web analytics and other tools
· Ability to develop a strategic e-commerce plan for the site
· A strong track-record of managing and developing a team.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· A degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
Key Responsibilities
· Ensure the site is maintained and updated so as to maximize customer engagement on the site.
· Manage content to support the Online Marketing.
· Manage and maximize opportunities to increase targeted traffic to the website through a variety of marketing channels viz. PPC, SEO, email, display etc.
· Sound knowledge and expertise regarding to online transactions; from customer acquisition techniques to website usability to secure payment processes.
· Develop the web as a marketing tool
· Effective communication of available functionality to the business with regards current e commerce infrastructure.
· Continual refine and optimize the customer experience - through to purchases and to improve conversion rates.
· Ensure fraudulent transactions are regularly reviewed and appropriate settings are made to fraud prevent techniques.
· Prepare a development plan for the site which has expected costs and attributable enefits.
Preferred Requirements
· Experience of managing ecommerce platforms at manager level with technical skills in e-commerce strategic planning, business, financial principles and e-commerce market development
· Proven track record of increasing sales and traffic to corporate/brand websites
· Project Management implementation
· Financial accounting procedures (profitability, ROI)
Qualifications
As the ideal candidate you possess:
- Proven record in developing successful ecommerce programs and sales
- People management experience required – minimum 7 years
- Outstanding analytical skills, strong experience interpreting test results & drawing conclusions
- Demonstrated strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives
- Strong project management and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- High attention to accuracy and details
- Ability to manage multiple projects across different stakeholder groups
