We are seeking an experienced and passionate Early Years Co‑ordinator to join our team and provide strategic leadership across Hume Council Early Years Services operating under our Early Years Management (EYM) model. This is a pivotal role for a dynamic leader who thrives on building strong teams, driving best practice, and ensuring high‑quality early learning experiences for children, families, and communities.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to a team of Early Years Leaders.
  • Oversee service performance, compliance, and continuous improvement across 34 early years services.
  • Champion high‑quality pedagogy, evidence‑based practice, and consistent implementation of the approved learning frameworks.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Department partners, community organisations, and families.
  • Support services through change, growth, and innovation.

This role is ideal for someone who is energised by complex operational environments and has the capacity to influence quality outcomes at scale.

The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role:

  • A tertiary qualification in early years education, family and/or community services with extensive experience working in the early years sector
  • Proven experience leading early years services, ideally in an EYM or multi‑site context.
  • Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework, regulatory requirements, and best practice approaches in early childhood education.
  • Confidence in coaching, mentoring, and building the capability of leaders and educators.
  • Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A passion for fostering environments where children, families, and educators thrive.
