  • Fixed term contract 22 hrs per week
  • $75,252.28 per annum (pro rata) plus Superannuation 
  • Administrative role with our Community Health & Wellbeing team

Provide effective and efficient administrative support and assistance to the Community Support Services Program.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide effective administrative support and assistance for the Community Support Services Program including Social Support Group, Community Transport, Delivered Meals, and Property Maintenance.
  • Assist in the safe and reliable delivery of Services to Home and Community Care Program for Younger People (HACC PYP) and Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) eligible clients.
  • Assist the Team Leader Community Support Services in the safe and reliable delivery of Services to frail, older people, and people with disabilities, to remain living independently in their home.
  • Provide a point of contact for client requests in accordance with Customer Service processes
  • General office administrative duties such as:
    • Developing letters, reports, minutes, newsletters, and brochures for the department.
    • Provide administrative Support to Community Support Service staff as required.
    • Assist in the preparation of Community Support Services staff timesheets and rosters in conjunction with the Supervisor.
    • Prepare and process new clients and attend to client enquiries.
    • Ensure client data base and software management system is up to date.
  • Carry out other duties that are within the employee's skills competency and training and as per the instructions provided by the Supervisor.
  • Provide administrative assistance for the internal and external hire of the Community buses.
  • Coordinate and process Property Maintenance referrals.
  • Assist with organising and delivering meals to eligible clients in an efficient, safe, and timely manner, as required.
  • Monitor client's wellbeing and report any significant changes in their condition.

The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role:

  • Qualifications and experience in the Community Services field.
  • Relevant experience in an Administration/Customer Service capacity.
  • Knowledge of Home and Community Care Program for Younger People (HACC PYP) and Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) within local government is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability in using MS Office computer products (Word, Excel). and the ability to access and interpret databases.
  • Well-developed oral and written skills with an ability to communicate with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds and cultures (bilingual communication highly advantageous).
  • Relevant knowledge of nutrition and safe food handling techniques/ Food Handlers Certificate Levell is highly regarded.
  • Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate desirable.
  • Current driver’s licence.
  • Working with Children Check.
