Company Description

For our client, a large international Bank, with a strong position on the Polish market and an extensive, diversified business area, we are looking for an Expert experienced in capital risk analysis, who will closely cooperate with the Bank's headquarters and internal business partners in Poland and will provide information and an independent recommendations supporting key business decisions.

The Expert we are looking for will report directly to the Director of the Risk Control and Integration Office and will work within a team of several people. Our Client's organisation is located in several large cities in Poland, and the preferred workplace of the Expert sought is Warsaw or Wrocław.

Job Description

Main responsibilities and tasks:

  • ensure the correctness of principles for calculating of regulatory capital requirements
  • calculate the Bank's internal (economic) capital requirements (yet this role does not include preparation of obligatory, cyclical reports to the KNF)
  • develop and optimise tools to analyse the impact of different macroeconomic scenarios on the Bank’s internal capital (stress tests)
  • consolidate and provide high quality analysis and information to support  business decisions in the area of risk management, independently formulate recommendations
  • take part in projects ensuring the Bank's compliance with risk management standards and requirements
  • participate in the implementation of changes to IT systems
  • closely cooperate within the Group at international level

Qualifications

  • at least 3-5 years of professional experience in capital risk management / capital requirement calculation
  • university degree, preferably in science (mathematics, statistics) or finance/economics
  • practical experience of working in a database environment
  • efficient communication in English,
  • ability to analyse in detail the issues and work out solutions in a complex business environment,
  • good understanding of the regulations and principles of operation of the banking sector and the ability to assess their impact on business,
  • ease in establishing and building relationships and good cooperation in a team
